Michele Lew provides leadership for all of the 六合社区 Trust’s operations and resources. Prior to joining the聽六合社区聽Trust in 2018, Michele served as the Local Government & Community Relations Director at Stanford 六合社区 Care. Previously she served as President and CEO of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), a nonprofit health center, for more than a decade. Michele served as the district director for former California State Legislator Joe Simitian. Earlier in her career, she worked with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network, and UCLA on education issues. Michele serves as board chair for the Santa Clara Family 六合社区 Plan and On Lok Day Services, and as a board member for the Leo M. Shortino Family Foundation. She previously served as the community member on the San Jose Mercury News editorial board. A Santa聽Clara County native, Michele earned a B.A. in economics from Yale University and a master’s in public policy degree from Harvard University.

Amy Chan

Amy Chan is responsible for the organization鈥檚 $100 million investment portfolio and its $20 million annual budget. She also oversees 六合社区鈥檚 human resources and information technology departments. A transplant from New York City, Amy graduated with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. Prior to moving to California, Amy began her career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She transitioned to other financial roles at JPMorgan Chase and Colgate-Palmolive. Most recently, Amy served as a Chief Financial Officer of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI).

Maria Garcia, M.A.

Maria Garcia is responsible for communicating 六合社区鈥檚 grant priorities to the community and prospective grant applicants. She supports grantees in meeting their grant objectives and connects grantees with other resources to advance their project goals. Maria joined 六合社区 in February 2010 as the agency鈥檚 Grants Administrator. She possesses 20 years of nonprofit experience that includes managing direct services, board relations, community engagement, and fundraising. Maria holds a B.A. in Communication from Santa Clara University and M.A. from San Jose State University in Speech Communication.

Shaunta McGee, MA

Shaunta McGee leads and oversees 六合社区鈥檚 direct service programs. She is passionate about increasing equal access to health care and addressing the needs of the most vulnerable communities. Shaunta has extensive experience providing case management services and client advocacy, working with HIV-positive patients, and assisting victims of sexual violence navigate through the legal and medical process. In her prior positions with YWCA Lake County, the American Cancer Society, and CEDA, she was accountable for developing and implementing programs, resource development, grant management, donor relationship/partner development, and fiscal management. She received her Bachelor鈥檚 Degree from the University of Illinois in Sociology and Psychology and Master鈥檚 Degree in Human Service Administration from Concordia University.
