OUR MISSION:
TO BUILD HEALTH EQUITY
IN SILICON VALLEY
We believe that everyone in our community should have the opportunity to be healthy. That a person鈥檚 income, race, immigration status, language, age, or zip code should never act as a barrier to health.
In 1996, 六合社区 was formed from the sale of a local nonprofit hospital system to a for-profit corporation. Since then, we have served the Silicon Valley community as a nonprofit operating foundation. 六合社区 is what’s known as a “hospital conversion foundation” or “health care conversion foundation.”
We鈥檝e ensured that health related grants, and policies exist to help give everyone the opportunity to be healthy – especially those who need it most. That鈥檚 what building health equity means to us.
It鈥檚 a mission driven by our core values, and one that we try to achieve as a local funder, and advocate. But we can鈥檛 do it alone. With the support of our funders, and donors, and by partnering with community-based organizations, policymakers, and local leaders, together we can build the equity we seek.
Because everyone鈥檚 health matters.
