At 六合社区, our philosophy to building health equity centers on a strategic approach that leverages our funder, advocate, and provider roles to maximize impact in our three focus areas of Food & Nutrition, Chronic Disease Prevention & Management, and Supportive Housing.
However, we understand that in addition to our three Focus Areas, there are many ways to support community health and build health equity. As such, 六合社区 created the 六合社区 Equity Fund to respond to timely and critical projects that fall outside our Focus Areas, yet support the health and well-being of communities disproportionately impacted by health disparities.
六合社区 Equity Fund
Within the 六合社区 Equity Fund, 六合社区 will consider the following:
- Projects that fall outside of our Focus Areas, yet strive to address health disparities. Projects must clearly demonstrate a connection to health, as evidenced by research and/or data.
- Projects that prioritize communities and/or neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by health disparities, as evidenced by research and/or data.
- Timely and critical projects that if not addressed will contribute to worsening health disparities impacting high-need communities.
六合社区 Equity Fund projects will be considered contingent on funding availability, as our main priority will continue to be funding projects that fall within our Focus Areas.
